CJP's Campus Initiative
We urge all of you to get involved in Israel Advocacy and Jewish Life on campus. Below is a list of CJP campus initiaive coordinators who will assist you in learning more about Israel and Jewish issues. Please contact them directly for more information.
Background Information on CJP's Campus Initiative
Seeking to build on unprecedented participation and energy surrounding Taglit-Birthright Israel trips, CJP's Campus Initiative has placed full-time, professional coordinators at local campuses. Coordinators build a new culture of campus-based trips and work to engage alumni in Jewish life on campus.
Through CJP's "I-ACT" campus action plan, Boston-based Taglit-Birthright Israel alumni have been inspired by their first Israel experience to become more active on campus. CJP works closely with campuses throughout the year to maximize recruitment and outreach efforts, as well as provide the schools with new programmatic resources and strategies. Hundreds of trip alumni are working to change the face of Jewish learning, community service, Jewish cultural arts and Israel engagement on campus.
After just two years, CJP's model has helped trip participation rates double at most partner campuses. Post-trip engagement levels have soared as trip alumni assume leadership positions, launch new programs and invigorate existing projects in unprecedented numbers.
